Pros:

* Well designed Ergonomics with great engineering; Extremely comfortable ergonomic positioning.

* Fast application switching; after installing the software you will be able to switch through the running applications on your computer by just scrolling with the “thumb wheel”; but scrolling the “thumb wheel” you will be able perform what ALT+TAB does for you

* The search button under the main scroll either brings up your browser’s homepage or your computer’s search engine.

* The two back and forth buttons on the side are designed for ‘back’ and ‘forward’ features enabling easy online surfing.

* This mouse has a good wireless connection, which is very important for a mouse with these capabilities.

* The Battery indicator; shows the amount of battery life you have left .

* Very good/long lasting battery life.

* Very precise laser engine.

Cons:

* Only designed for the right hand.

* Not designed for gaming because of the lack of the middle scroll which is used for holding and dragging.

* Not designed for Mac users, but still works decently with Mac.

* Does not have all the features the Logitech VX revolution has.

Overview:

The Logitech MX Revolution mouse is a very well designed and revolutionary mouse. This mouse is great for quick searching through documents or programs, accuracy, precision, and switching back and forth between running applications. The natural hand position makes the mouse extremely comfortable. The battery life lasts a week to two weeks, depending the amount of use. Some have complained that the precision of the mouse goes away after a couple of months but I have not experienced that problem even though I’ve had this mouse almost a year. This mouse has won the CES innovations awards which was given for the best design and engineering!

Modes: Auto, Manual, Digital Macro, Color Accent and Swap, Special Scene, Movie, Stitch Assist

Scene Modes: Portrait, Night snapshot, Kids and Pets, Aquarium, Beach, Snow, Indoor, Underwater, Fireworks, Foliage

Memory: SD/SDHC Memory Card, MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus Card, HC MMC Plus Card

Screen: 230,000 pixels; 3.0 inch wide color LCD with wide viewing angle

Response time: shutter speed is approximately 15-1/600 sec with 1.3 fps continuous shooting

Flash: On/off flash, Red-eye reduction, Auto flash setting

Pic/Video Format: Picture-JPEG, Audio-WAVE, Video-AVI

Ports: USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, Video out, Audio out, Direct connection to canon photo printer, memory card slot,

Power: Li-Ion NB-5L, AC adapter, approximately 270 pictures with a full battery

Features: Face detection mode, Red-eye correction mode, Optical image stabilizer, Self timer mode (2 or 10 seconds), iSAPS, DIGIC 3

Warranty: One year manufacture warranty

Included: 32 MB card, Manual, Warranty documents, USB cable, Li-Ion Battery, Battery charger, Installation CD,

Pros:

* The face detection system automatically detects a persons face with up to nine faces within one frame. It also adjusts the focus and flash to ensure the best results.

* The Digital Image Core 3 (DIGIC) Image Processor manages all the primary functions of the camera to optimize its functionality and efficiency. This processor creates a clearer, more detailed and accurate color balance. It controls the face detection feature, designed for noise reduction, and makes the battery efficiency higher.

* The optical Image Stabilizer feature on the “SD 870 IS” detects and corrects slight camera shakes and movements that might cause of blurry pictures. This feature allows a great video quality.

* Almost all the Canon cameras come with the iSAPS feature; this feature is designed to automatically choose the setting to get the best picture depending on the surrounding environment. Auto focusing and exposures are some of the features of iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis on Photographic Space)

*  Pocket Size!!

*  Fast start-up mode

Cons:

* Slow shutter speed makes it difficult to snap multiple pictures in a short amount of time.

* The battery life is not very impressive, but it still beats AA batteries by far.

* This camera takes amazing outdoor pictures, but takes poor indoor shots (under the ‘auto’ setting).

* A common problem with canon cameras is that their lens tends to remain stuck in the camera sometimes.

Overall:

The trick to fixing the problem with the indoor shots is turning the flash to “well lit room” or the “Night mode” instead of the fully auto! Overall the picture quality with this camera is amazing. The Face Detection, Image Stabilizer, iSAPS, and DIGIC 3 features all help provide a clearer, sharper, and more accurate color balanced picture. The fact that you are getting a 3 inch wide LCD screen, even though its still a pocket size digital camera shows that this camera is a great camera for family/friends pictures as well for your business. This camera is very user friendly and amazing for the people who are not great with new technologies! This camera is definitely worth what you pay for!

Included in box: earphones, USB 2.0 connector cable, Dock adapter, Quick Start guide

PROS:

-New anodized aluminum front of the nano does not scratch as easily as previous models.

-The 2 inch screen provides a clear, bright picture with sharp, vivid colors, great for videos and photographs.

-Video performance is fantastic. The action scenes play smoothly, and the audio remains synced with the picture at all times.

-Provides a reasonably full sound absent from previous nano models

-The new feature ‘cover flow’ gives the user a new, interesting method to browse through albums. This way, the user is able to view the album artwork as they search. It reminds me of perusing though an old time jukebox.

-Uses flash memory, so there are no hard disk lag problems seen with the Classic iPod.

-The battery life comes close to apple’s playing life claims. (I got 22 hrs of audio and 3.5 hrs of video)

-The nano feels very lightweight and fits well in your hand.

-Comes with 3 games: Solitare, Vortex, and iQuiz

-Easy to shuffle songs with new on-the-fly shuffling command.

CONS:

-Clickwheel can become frustrating until you get used to this smaller, seemingly more sensitive wheel.

-Still no FM Radio or Voice recorder.

-Many previous ipod nano accessories do not function correctly with the new nano.

-The chrome back is easily scratched.

-No video output port

-No SD memory expansion

-‘Cover Flow’ tends to take a second or two to load all the album covers.

-Although it has been enlarged, the screen is still rather small to view videos.

Memory: comes with 1024 MB PC5300 DDR2 SDRAM, or 2048MB PC5300 DDR2 SDRAM; Maximum RAM is 4096 MB;

Hard drive: comes in 60, 80, 100, 120GB, 5400 RPM;

Graphics/Display: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with 8MB-128MB  shared graphics memory, 1024 x 768 resolution;

Sound: Stereo Speakers (built in), Built in Microphone;

Ports: RGB output port (for monitor), Headphone and Microphone ports, 3/4 USB v2.0, RJ-11 Mode, Docking connector (Underneath the computer), Ethernet port, PCMCIA card slot, 5-in-1 Media Card Reader (Memory stick, Xc Card, Multi Media Card, SDIO,  Memory Stick Pro for new Sony Cameras.);

Networking: Wireless 802.1 a/b/g, Dial up modem, Inter Pro/1000 Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.0 plus EDR (Toshiba Bluetooth Driver Software), Integrated Verizon Wireless EVDO (On newer Protege M400, Specially S4034);

Included: Li-Ion (4700mAh), AC adapter (75W), Finger Print Reader, Hot key Security and password Security;

Warranty: 3 years parts and labor and 1-year Battery (exchanging old battery for a new one.)

Pros:

* Very good Processor for a computer of this kind. This computer is the first Tablet PC to use the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The battery life is amazing. Our tested life is around 3 hrs and 30 minutes, which is pretty close to what Toshiba says ( 4 hrs.).

* If the computer comes with Windows XP tablet edition, 1 GB of RAM could be enough, but most likely needs to be upgraded to 2 GB; If the computer comes with Windows Vista, it is highly recommended to get 2GB or higher.

* The CD/DVD drive is pretty powerful; Maximum speed for the CD-ROM is 24x, CD-RW 10x, DVD-ROM 8x, DVD-R double layer 2x, DVD-RW 4x

* The Wireless 802.11 a/b/g is decent, but the bluetooth communication makes the networking of this computer very impressive.

*The 1024 x 768 resolution on the LCD screen gives you a nice, clear picture.

* I like the design of the Pen. When stored, it hides on the side of the computer, unlike the Fujitsu Tablets, whose pen’s tend to fall out of storage.

* This computer has nice features like a built in Media card and express card readers (xD, memory Stick, memory Stick PRO and Multimedia Card). The finger print reader is very useful, especially if you leave your computer near other people, but you still want it to be secured.

Cons:

* The fact the the screen only turns to the left is inconvenient. Toshiba needs to work on that aspect of the design.

* The graphics is all shared and there is no dedicated graphics and that gives you not as good graphics as dedicated computers would do.

* The computer’s wireless card does not support ‘n’ routers. ‘n’ is the new upcoming technology of wireless cards.

*The battery life is great for the first year, but the battery dies very fast after a year or so.

* After a year of use the AC adapter cord tends to get cracks at the joints near the adapter. This could be dangerous. If you are under warranty, you can call Toshiba, and they send a new one free of charge.

* The screen has a tendency to mess up and dead pixels appear after couple of months. Also, dust particles collect under the screen over time.

* The HDD (Hard Disk Drive) protection tends to malfunction. Occasionally when this happens, the HDD freezes.

* The speakers are rather small and do not provide a quality sound.

* Toshiba’s customer service is poor.

* The cooling fan for the HDD is very loud and sometimes becomes annoying.

* The wires connecting the screen to the base sometimes short circuit and don’t function right. This causes the screen to flash off for a second or two.

Overall:

Overall, this laptop is a good choice for a business man or student. Definitely not a good choice for gaming or picture/movie editing. The higher amount of RAM, the better performance you will get out of the computer. The 2.0 GHZ intel core 2 Duo is excellent for a computer of this kind. The CD/DVD drive is pretty powerful and does most everything you need to do now-a-days. The fact that you get a Media Card reader to download pictures from your camera on a computer of this kind is very good. The weight of this computer is 4.5 pounds, very light! The battery life is very good for the first year. After the first year, life starts to decline. It is a good idea to get a free battery from Toshiba (from the warranty) near the end of your first year as your battery declines.

This computer has a feature called the HDD protection software which protects the HDD from shocks. Based on experience, I highly recommend that you not turn off this feature. Otherwise your HDD will start freezing frequently and you have to send it to Toshiba to get it fixed (usually it is covered under your warranty). Toshiba’s customer service can be frustrating.

Additional Features: The Labelflash disc-Labeling

Networking: Wireless 802.1 a/g/n, dial up modem, Ethernet card, Built in webcam, (BLUETOOTH NOT INCLUDED);

Included: 6-cell Lithium-Ion battery; 65 W AC Power Adapter;

Warranty: 12 months Parts and 6 months labor manufacture warranty

Pros:

* This Intel processor gives you a better battery life comparing with equivalent AMD processors. The Core 2 Duo processor gives you more power than the standard 1.66 GHz processor because it has two engines.

* The 3 GB RAM included in this computer is very good. Since windows Vista requires you to have at least 1024 MB of RAM, one can get a lot better performance with 3 GB of RAM.

* The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 is a decent graphics card, it’s good to watch movies and a lot of games, but some games like half life 2, Halo 2, or CS might have problems with it.

* The 250GB of hard drive is enough space for a basic use and great for a laptop of this kind; 250 GB of hard drive is very hard to fill up unless you have got a lot of music and movies (dvd quality).

* The Wireless 802.11 a/g/n is a strong wireless card since you can get the ‘g’ and ‘n’ wireless.

* The 1440 x 900 resolution screen is very good for a laptop and since the screen is 17” , you can get a very good picture quality out of the computer. The 17″ screen is very good if you are using the laptop a lot and do not have an external monitor.

* The Labelflash disc-Labeling is a technology that Toshiba usually uses to create label on labeflash media

* Nice features like a built in webcam, Media card, and express card readers (xD, memory Stick, memory Stick PRO and Multimedia Card)

Cons:

* The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 is a decent graphics card and some games wont be played on it. cards such as GeForce Go 8400M are a lot more powerful than X3100 and have better performance.

* The computer’s wireless card does not support the ‘b’ routers, but on the other hand ‘b’ is very old and not many people use them anymore.

* The battery life is not that great because you are getting a 6-cell battery and since the laptop has a 17″ screen, the battery life won’t be more than 2:30-minutes.

* comparing to other brand computers, the laptop is a little bit heavy and thick

* Does not have a Built in Bluetooth

Overall:

Overall, this laptop is a very good and an excellent choice for a average user. Not that great for gaming but you are still able to play 95% of new games. The 3 GB RAM is very good for a laptop of this kind. You are able to burn/play CD and DVDs, download pictures from your camera to your laptop by using the Media card reader. The processor of the computer is very powerful and has a high performance on Windows Vista. The battery life is a little bit short which could be better if you get a 9-cell or a 12-cell battery directly from Toshiba.

Screen: 1.8 inch made from glass, 320 x 240 resolution

Controls: You can navigate by pressing or sliding your finger on the pad.

Syncing: You can sync your music, pictures, or videos through the sync cable or sync it through your home’s Wi-Fi network;

Wireless: 802.11 b/g, 30 feet range. Sharing music, and pictures with other Zune owners

FM-Radio: yes, included!

Formats: The Zune supports MP3, AAC, WMA, WMV, MP4, m4a, m4b, mov for songs

WMV, MPEG-4, and H.264-DVD quality Video Formats

JPEG for pictures

Software: Zune

Battery Life: 24 hours of music, 4 hours of Video

Languages: French, English, Spanish

Included in the box: Earphones, sync Cable, the Zune, User Manual, Three pairs of foam earpiece covers

Pros:

- The 324 x 240 Resolution is very good resolution for a digital media player of this kind and since the screen is made out of glass, the picture quality looks a little bit better.

- The improved Zune’s pad allows you to go through your collection by touch of your finger; you can also scroll up and down, left and right like the first generation of Zunes.

- You can customize the background picture of your Zune player with a picture from you picture collection on the device.

- You can share your music and pictures with other Zune users through the built in Wi-Fi; with the new Zune you can also sync your music through your house Wi-Fi connection. The only thing that you need to do is to setup your Zune with the home router for the first time, and after that the device will automatically connect to it whenever it’s connected to charge.

- Being able to listen to the FM-Radio, Microsoft gaves this option to its users to listen to the radio whenever they want to.

- The Zune plays a lot of different formated music, videos, and JPEG pictures, which is mostly what everyone needs now a days.

- The Zune’s software has gotten improved a lot and it includes podcast.

Cons:

- The battery life could be improved a little bit more. The current battery life is pretty decent but comparing it with iPod’s, it needs to be improved

- No Voice Recorder, No FM-Radio Recorder

- No support for Audible audio books

- No memory expansion slots (e.g. SD cards)

- Not being able to connect to the internet

- Sync music, pictures back to your computer through Wi-Fi

Specification:

Operating system: Windows Vista Home premium;

Dimensions: Height = 15.2″; Width = 6.9″; Depth = 16.3″; Weight = 22 lb;

Processor: AMD Athlon 64×2 (Dual Core), 2.80 GHz;

Memory: 3072 MB, expandable to 8 GB;

Hard drive: 500 GB, 7200 RPM;

Graphics:              NVIDIA GeForce 7100 with 128MB dedicated graphics memory with 1343 MB shared video card;

Ports: 6 USB ports, 2 Firewire, Lightscribe (Double layer support), 1 available PCI slot, 2 PCI express slots, 15-in-1 memory card reader;

Sound Card: high definition Audio

Networking: dial up modem, Ethernet card, No built in wireless card

Included: Optical mouse, multimedia keyboard, user manual;

Pros:

* Dual-core processors contain two processing cores, that perform calculations on two streams of data to increase efficiency and speed while running multiple programs. This processor is known to be an energy efficient processor and as AMD puts it in words, this is a “cool ‘n’ quite technology”. The Multi Point Thermal control prevents the processor from heating up and enables a cooler and quieter PC experience. Comparing this processor with Intel core 2 Duo processor, this is definitely by far better and more efficient processor.

* The NVIDIA GeForce 7100 with 128MB dedicated graphics memory is pretty decent graphics card and since the computer comes with 1343 MB of shared video card it makes the graphic experience more unique, the shared graphics means that the computer uses parts of the memory of the computer toward the graphics of the computer when they are not used.

* The 500 GB of hard drive is a lot of space and should be enough for a long time;

* The lightscribe feature is pretty neat and since you can write Double layer DVDs it makes the DVD/CD drive to be pretty good

* The 3 GB of memory is very good and should be enough for windows Vista Home Premium; The most you can upgrade is 4 GB under 32-bit processor and 8 GB under 64-bit processor.

Cons:

* The dedicated graphic card (NVIDIA GeForce 7100) by itself is just a regular/basic graphics card but the shared graphics makes the computer to be a little bit better.

* Does not have a built in wireless card, but a lot of desktops do not come with a built in wireless card

Pros:

* The 2GHz Turion 64 x2 TL-60 is made of two processing engines that make the performance twice as faster as other standard 2GHz processors. This processor delivers better multi-tasking performance in thinner and lighter notebook designs, simultaneous 32- and 64-bit performance.
* The 2048 Mb of RAM makes this laptop to be up to date since Windows Vista recommends 1024+ Mb of RAM is needed for a smooth operation. The fact that one can upgrade the RAM to 4 GB of RAM makes this laptop to be unique and ahead of others.
* The 250 GB of hard drive is a lot of space and great for a laptop of this kind.
* A very good and strong wireless card since it supports an ‘N’ signal
* Nice features like a remote control, built in webcam, Media card, and express card readers

Cons:

* The Intel Core 2 Duo process beats AMD Turion 64 x 2 in some programs, mostly games, and you get a battery life out of Intel Core 2 Duo; the difference between two is very small and you probably will never notice. AMD still does a great performance!
* NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M is not a very good graphic card for gaming but the 799 shared graphics makes the graphics card to be a decent laptop graphics
* Does not have a Built in Bluetooth
